THE FOUNDER
THE FOUNDER
Rafa Montes
From a very young age, I have been closely connected to tennis. After competing in Madrid’s youth leagues, I trained as a specialist Physical Education teacher and worked as a tennis coach in several clubs across Madrid, gaining extensive experience in coaching as well as in sports organization. At the same time, I developed a solid career in the business world, taking on roles in commercial management, marketing, and team leadership—knowledge that I now apply directly to improving how tennis clubs operate.
Later on, I moved to Zurich for personal reasons, where I completed the Swiss tennis-coaching qualification. After my first years at TC Wollishofen, I joined TC Herrliberg and TC Itschnach, clubs where I continue to work and for which I am deeply grateful. I currently teach both adults and children, organize tournaments, coordinate tennis camps, and run a tennis training academy.
My combined experience—sporting, teaching, organizational, and business—together with a strong creative approach, drives me to constantly seek new ideas and solutions to enhance the quality, efficiency, and visibility of tennis clubs.
